The name Eventum comes from the Latin noun for “outcome,” reflecting our commitment to advancing patient care, and why our guiding principle is to deliver accessible innovation that improves patient outcomes, helping healthcare providers achieve the triple aim—enhancing the patient experience, improving population health, and ultimately reducing healthcare costs.

"Although total knee replacement implants survive very well in the long term, patients' function and satisfaction with the implant often fall below expectations. Studies suggest that approximately 25% of patients are dissatisfied after knee replacement surgery and many of these patients have ongoing anterior knee pain. Eventum are developing an innovative product that has the potential to address a key issue with the patellofemoral joint during total knee replacement surgery, so that the biomechanics of this joint (which is one of the main parts of the total knee replacement) are accurately recreated. This should then improve the function of the new knee joint and improve patient function and satisfaction."

"TKRs have made great strides over the last decade in terms of Kinematics and biomaterial improvements, but a significant proportion of patients still are dissatisfied with their implants. A large number seem to describe issues with the patellofemoral articulation as the main issue. Other than alterations to the trochlea groove component of the femoral prosthesis very little has been done to address this aspect. My view is that Eventum is developing a product with the potential to allow surgeons to make informed alterations to the parts of the technique where previously we have only been able to make a best guess. It’s ability to fit into any workflow and with any implant is also a huge bonus in my view. It’s the only piece of technology which I have seen that hopes to address the last ‘unexplored’ aspect of knee replacement surgery and make a meaningful improvement in patient outcomes.”
